Reddit Video Downloader
Reddit videos with the sound included.
Only save content you own or have permission to use.
TapDL is a free Reddit video downloader that saves Reddit videos with the sound included. Paste the post link above, tap Download and get one MP4 file with video and audio together. It works with reddit.com, redd.it and v.redd.it links, with no login.
Why do Reddit downloads often have no sound?
Reddit stores a video’s picture and its sound as two separate files. Many tools grab only the picture, so the result is silent. TapDL downloads both and joins them into a single MP4, so your video plays with sound everywhere.

Save Reddit videos on iPhone, Android and PC
iPhone: Safari → Save to phone → Save Video. Android: the MP4 goes to Gallery and Downloads. Computer: copy the post address from reddit.com, paste it here and click Download.
v.redd.it links explained
Videos uploaded to Reddit are hosted at v.redd.it. If someone shares that address directly, paste it here and TapDL finds the video and its sound. Links to the full post on reddit.com work too and are usually easier to copy.
Download Reddit GIFs and short clips
Reddit converts most GIFs to short videos. They download as small looping MP4 files that play in Photos and in chat apps, and they keep their sound when the original had any.
Is it legal to download Reddit videos?
Saving public videos for personal viewing is generally fine in many countries. Reposting them elsewhere without the creator’s permission can break copyright and Reddit’s rules, so credit the original poster and ask first.
Reddit video not downloading?
- The community is private, quarantined or age-restricted and needs a login.
- The post links to another site (like YouTube) instead of a Reddit-hosted video.
- The post was removed.
