What are TikTok stories?
TikTok stories are short videos and photos that disappear after 24 hours, like Instagram and Snapchat stories. Creators see who viewed their stories in the app, which is why many people want to watch them anonymously. Stories show up as a colored ring around the creator’s profile picture while they’re live.

Does TikTok tell creators you viewed their story?
Inside the app, yes: TikTok shows story viewers to the creator. With TapDL you don’t use a TikTok account at all, so your name never appears in their viewer list and they get no notification when you save a story.

TikTok story viewer not showing anything?
- The creator has no story right now. Stories disappear after 24 hours.
- The account is private, so only approved followers can see its stories.
- The username is misspelled. Copy it from their profile link to be sure.
- TikTok sometimes limits story lists for a while. Try again in a few minutes.
